✨ Type Guide · Cobblemon v1.7.1

Where Do Fairy Type Pokémon Spawn?

Fairy types are drawn to beauty and magic — flower fields, misty highlands, mushroom biomes and moonlit meadows. They're not the easiest type to find in bulk, but the right biomes yield some of the most rewarding catches in the game.

Quick Answer

🌸 Flower Fields 🍄 Mushroom Biomes ⛰️ Misty Highlands 22 Fairy Types Total

Fairy types cluster in flower forests, mushroom islands, misty mountain biomes and moonlit plains. They're one of the lower-density types overall — you won't find them in every biome the way bug or flying types appear. Targeting flower fields during the day and open plains at night gives you the best coverage.

How Fairy Type Spawning Works

Fairy types in Cobblemon are tied to environments that feel otherworldly, beautiful or naturally magical. That translates to flower-heavy biomes, mushroom islands, misty highlands and open plains under moonlight. Unlike most types, fairy spawns are spread thin — you rarely encounter multiple fairy lines in the same biome, which makes dedicated fairy hunting a biome-hopping exercise.

There's a clear split between day fairies and night fairies. Togepi, Snubbull and Flabébé are daytime spawners that prefer bright, open environments. Clefairy, Sylveon and Togekiss lean nocturnal or require specific conditions. A few fairy types — like Carbink — are deep cave dwellers entirely at odds with the type's usual aesthetic.

Fairy is one of the rarest types to find in bulk Unlike grass or water types that stack in their home biomes, fairy types are spread across many different biome types with low individual densities. If you're building a full fairy team, plan for a proper hunt across flower fields, highlands and mushroom biomes rather than expecting to find them all in one place.
🌙
Clefairy spawns near exposed stone at night Clefairy is one of the most searched fairy types and one of the trickier ones to find. It favours open plains and mountain edges at night — specifically areas with exposed stone or elevated terrain. If you're struggling, try mountain plateau edges after dark rather than flat plains.

Fairy Types by Biome

Fairy types are spread across several distinct biome types. Here's where to focus for specific lines.

🌸
Flower Fields & Meadows
Best overall fairy variety

Flower forests and sunflower plains are the single best destination for fairy hunting. Flabébé, Sylveon, Swirlix, Spritzee, Cottonee and Cutiefly all spawn here during the day. Togepi also appears in open meadow areas. If you want to collect multiple fairy entries efficiently, flower biomes are your starting point.

🌾
Plains & Villages
Snubbull, Jigglypuff, Clefairy at night

Open plains and village-adjacent areas host a solid cluster of fairy types. Snubbull is the easiest to find — it hangs around villages and plains at any time of day. Jigglypuff roams open grassy areas. Clefairy switches this biome into a great fairy hunting ground at night, especially near mountain edges with exposed stone.

🌊
Rivers, Lakes & Wet Areas
Azurill, Marill

Water-adjacent fairy types are limited but reliable. Azurill appears along pond and river edges during the day, and Marill is found in rivers and lakes. Neither is hard to find once you're near water — both are decent early fairy type options if you don't want to travel to flower biomes.

🕳️
Caves & Underground
Carbink, Mawile

Two fairy types defy the type's usual aesthetic and live underground. Mawile (Steel/Fairy) spawns in mountain caves and rocky interiors. Carbink (Rock/Fairy) is a rare deep-cave encounter, preferring crystal-style underground chambers. Both are worth the effort — Mawile especially is a popular team pick.

🌲
Dark Forest & Dense Woodland
Impidimp at night

Impidimp is the outlier of the fairy type — a Dark/Fairy that hides in dense, dark woodland at night. It's the only fairy type you'd find in a "spooky" biome context. If you're hunting ghost or dark types at night in forest areas, keep an eye out for Impidimp appearing alongside them.

Tips for Hunting Fairy Types

Flower forests are your one-stop fairy shop If you need fairy types quickly, a flower forest or sunflower plains biome during the day will net you Flabébé, Sylveon, Swirlix, Spritzee and Cutiefly in a single run — more fairy dex entries per hour than any other biome.
🌙
Clefairy is a night-only spawn near mountain edges Don't waste time hunting Clefairy during the day — it won't appear. Head to a mountain plateau edge or elevated plains area after dark. The exposed stone surface condition is key; flat plains without rock outcrops tend to give lower spawn rates.
⚠️
Gardevoir and Togekiss are evolution targets, not reliable wild spawns Both are listed as very rare wild spawns, but in practice most players reach them by evolving Ralts and Togetic respectively. If you need Gardevoir or Togekiss for your team, catching Ralts or Togepi and evolving up is significantly faster than hunting wild versions.
